Senate Democrats and Republicans reached agreement with the Bush administration yesterday on the terms of new legislation to control the federal government’s domestic surveillance program, which includes a highly controversial grant of legal immunity to telecommunications companies that have assisted the program, according to congressional sources.

The final vote was 273 – 156, 16 votes short of the necessary 2/3 to override Bush’s veto. Democrats Jim Marshall and Gene Taylor crossing the aisle to vote against SCHIP and 44 Republicans voting for SCHIP

That’s it. I’m done. The Democratic majority is worthless, and insist on giving our rights away and doing nothing. Spineless. I’m no longer voting for any Repuglican or Devilcrat. Independent or no vote at all.
