Apparently the Gecko rendering endinge isn’t to happy with the white-space CSS rules applied to textarea elements. It’s pretty much ignored if you specify rows or cols, or specify any CSS width. The text absolutely won’t honor the preformatted text and wraps wherever it wants.

Of course, there’s one way to make it work: use the wrap="off" attribute. Of course this doesn’t validate in XHTML 1.0/1.1 Strict. I’ll live with that guilt for now. :-)
